I soggetti della Site Specific Art / The subjects of the Site Specific Art

Visitando il giardino di Daniel Spoerri a Seggiano, nella Maremma toscana, mi sono resa conto di quanto la scelta di un soggetto artistico o di un tema e la sua collocazione nello spazio sia fondamentale per caratterizzare un luogo.

In questo immenso parco-museo, un terreno di circa 16 ettari riconosciuto oggi come Fondazione dal ministero della cultura italiano che l'artista rumeno naturalizzato svizzero ha cominciato a realizzare all'inizio degli anni Novanta, ci sono più di 100 sculture di 50 artisti diversi.

A mio parere un esempio collettivo di Site Specific Art, arte inserita nell'ambiente, pensata per un luogo. 

Ragionando sulla progettazione di quel giardino cerco di pensare a come potrebbe essere il giardino di casa mia, arricchito e personalizzato attraverso sculture pensate per quell'ambiente. Che soggetto scelgo? Che forme? Che materiale? Devo trovare un artista che possa dare vita al mio progetto di Site Specific Art. E nasce il lavoro di collaborazione, supportato da professionisti esperti del settore che possano aiutarmi a capire dove collocare l'opera, come integrarla all'ambiente. Perché tutto dovrà sembrare naturale, come se fosse parte di quello spazio, espressione di quel luogo.

Visiting the garden of Daniel Spoerri in Seggiano, in the Tuscan Maremma, I realized how much the choice of an artistic subject or a theme and its location in space is essential to characterize a place. This huge park-museum, an area of about 16 hectares, recognized today as the Foundation from the Italian Ministry of Culture. The Romanian artist, naturalized Swiss began to create at the beginning of the 90s. Now he has more than 100 sculptures by 50 different artists .

In my opinion, an example of collective Site Specific Art, art inserted into the environment, considered for a place. Reasoning on the design of that garden, I try to think about how it could be the garden of my house, enriched and personalized through sculptures designed for that environment.What subject should I choose? What forms? What material? I have to find an artist who can give life to my Site Specific Art project. From here the collaborated work begins, supported by experienced industry professionals who can help me figure out where to place the work, how to integrate the environment. This collaboration is key since everything needs to look natural, as if it were part of that space, the expression of that place.
